Thank you for the memories…

Memory is difficult to define. What is memory? Neuroscientists tell us that memory is the process of taking in information from the world around us, processing it, storing it and later recalling that information. Human memory is often likened to that of a computer memory system or a filing cabinet. Who are we to argue with the scientists - but that’s all a bit clinical and dare we say it dull? We prefer more vivid and emotional language like the power of retentionor the power of recall. Romantic words like reminiscerecollect and remembrancemake the process much more dramatic...and fun?.Human memory is far from perfect - we do not remember every single thing and memories can change. If you are one of the majority who doesn’t have perfect recall here’s a reminder of why you left Morukuru Family with memories that you replay over and over ….“Morukuru and the Madikwe game reserve and everything it offers are firmly embedded in our hearts and souls with Evan, Ilse and Boiky we dread to think of never being able to return.”“It is a culinary, cultural experience that me and my family will never forget. Thank you for the team of Morukuru! You are the best!”“You gave us a holiday of a life time and one we will never forget....thank you!”Morukuru Family is very proud to announce that all properties within our collection (Morukuru Family Madikwe, Morukuru Ocean House, Morukuru Beach Lodge and AtholPlace Hotel & Villa) have been nominated in the Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards for 2020.We would be extremely grateful to all our guests far and wide to take this time to remember the experience you had with us in South Africa and vote for us (again).Voting closes on 30th June 2020.  Thank you so much for your support, we miss you, our guests, terribly and can’t wait to welcome you back to make many more wonderful memories

The best thing about memories … is making them.

Let’s never stop making memories together

Memories last a lifetime.

We didn’t realise we were making memories ...we just knew we were having fun.

Today’s moments are tomorrow’s memories.

Happiness is taking pictures and making memories.

Wonderful friends make wonderful days and unforgettable memories.

I love those random memories that make me smile no matter what is going on in my life right now.

Little moments - big memories.
