- Mix the Cream, milk, sugar, and peppermint essence together
- If you have an ice-cream churner you can add the mixture to the churner
- Once your mixture in the churner is ready, add the grated chocolate
- Remove from the churner and transfer into a freezer to allow further setting
- If you are doing a manual churn, follow these easy steps.
- Put your mixture in a stainless bowl
- Transfer to a freezer
- Stir the mixture every 20 minutes with a whisk, this will allow air into the mixture and break the ice crystals into smaller particles
- Continue to do this until your mixture starts to become thick and sets
- Your mixture does not have to be solid hard before you stop stirring, if has doubled in size then you can stop with the stirring process, you can stir in your grated chocolate
- Transfer your mixture into a container and allow further setting in the freezer
